Iphone 5S, the new iphone from Apple is a great phone but a bit too expensive compared to other smarphones out there.
The design
As can be seen from the pics, the design is pretty cool. The phone has a 4 inch screen and has an aluminum body which gives it a premium feel. The round edges and thin body make the phone comfortable to hold and operate with one hand and to keep in your pocket.This is an advantage that the Iphone 5S has over its competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One which I find to be too big.
The features
IOS 7
IOS 7 is a great operating system and probably the best in the smartphone OS world period. Let me tell you why.
1. Visibility
I owned the Samsung Galaxy S3 before and visibility under direct sunlight is very poor. For a phone with that price tag I expected better from Samsung. Visibility under direct sunlight on the 5S on the other hand is just awesome. It's crystal clear and Apple has done a really great job on that.
2. Web browsing
Web browsing is pretty good on Apple's Safari explorer but some sites cannot be opened correctly due to Safari does not have support for Flash. But you can still download Google Search and it works seamlessly on the Iphone. Well, back on the Safari on IOS 7, web browsing is made easier thanks to some added features like swiping the screen left or right to go back and forth between sites, pretty cool feature.
3. Correcting while typing
We tend to mistype words while typing and Apple has made it really easy for us to correct our mistakes by just holding on the typing screen and a magnifying glass will appear that will help us to manouvre to the mistakes and make the corrections. A really convenient and great feature again from Apple.
App Store and apps
Apple App store is probably the best app store for consumers out there. For each category, you will have 300 free apps that you can download on your phone. I think the best thing about Apple apps is that they look great and they have no bugs like the ones found on Android apps. Games look great and you can download the latest games for free, very very cool.
Verdict
I have to admit that even though the price for the Iphone 5S is pretty expensive compared to Android phones and Windows phones, but the Apps Store itself is the main reason why I think everyone should buy an Iphone. Its way ahead of its competitors and only one word of advice, get the 32Gb or the 64GB version if you want to buy an Iphone because those apps are amazing.
